Deborah Siegel is an attorney who worked for the Federal Government, most recently as Assistant Regional Director for the Philadelphia District Office from which she retired. She has also volunteered her services in the nonprofit arena. Ms. Siegel is now applying her litigation skills in assisting The Deborah Project in its efforts to confront and dispel antisemitism on K-12 and college campuses.
Ms. Siegel holds a B.A. in English from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and a J.D. from the Washington College of Law in the District of Columbia.
In her role at the SEC Ms. Siegel oversaw and conducted many complex investigations involving violations of the federal securities laws, many of which were litigated in Federal Courts and before Administrative Law judges. Most notably she was appointed as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the EDPA to assist in a multi-agency task force involving a multimillion-dollar international securities fraud which resulted in an indictment. Ms. Siegel currently serves as a Board Member and Secretary of the Philadelphia Friendship Circle, a nonprofit that provides various programs for children with special needs, where she has been a long-time volunteer.
